I find this app can renew paid subscriptions automatically and makes it difficult to cancel them. This is a major issue for me.

Description
Substack is a mobile app in the News & Magazines category built around news, articles, and regularly updated reading. It may be most helpful to readers who want topical material in one mobile destination. A brief first visit should give users time to find their way around before they explore the finer controls. The confirmed store text is the basis for the option discussion below; anything not described there is left out. The advertised overall use includes a video-related component rather than relying only on static text or images. The application can be explored at an unhurried pace, starting with the obvious controls and leaving secondary settings for later. What matters most in Substack is whether the route to news, articles, and regularly updated reading remains understandable after the first visit. For the right user, the overall use should feel less like learning a new system and more like adding a convenient option to an existing routine.
Key Features
- Short sessions are possible, while returning you can continue exploring when more time is accessible.
- Budgeting, payments, or account-related material appears among the stated functions.
- Controls arranged so the main activity can be understood before optional settings are changed.
- Direct access to the part of the overall use devoted to news, articles, and regularly updated reading.
- Music, audio, or spoken content appears among the app itself’s stated uses.
Pros & Cons
- Pros: People can understand what the app itself is meant to do without sorting through an unrelated collection of tools.
- Pros: The learning process can be gradual, with optional settings left untouched until they are needed.
- Pros: Mobile access makes news, articles, and regularly updated reading accessible in places where a computer would be inconvenient.
- Pros: Compatibility and update notes give users helpful evidence before they commit to a download.
- Cons: Older or low-storage devices may not deliver the same overall use as newer hardware.
- Cons: An update may move familiar controls or remove a option that existed in an earlier release.
- Cons: Users will want to check whether essential functions require connectivity, payment, registration, or extra content.
Functions
- Compare the visible options before choosing how to proceed with news, articles, and regularly updated reading.
- Bring up the video section and test playback with a short file before working with larger content.
- Use financial tools only after reviewing security, account access, fees, and data-backup options.
- Start from the main screen and pick the section that most closely matches the current goal.
- Use the playback controls to start, pause, move through, or repeat the selected audio when those options are accessible.
How to Use
- Step 1: Bring up the recorded Google Play listing for Substack on the Android mobile device where it will be installed.
- Step 2: Confirm that the app itself name and icon match Substack. Because the developer is not recorded in the current data, do not guess it; use the listing itself to verify who publishes the app itself. Also read the operating-system requirement and make sure the mobile device is supported.
- Step 3: Use the listing to check what it says about the release, cost, privacy, and purpose. Do not infer facts the page leaves out.
- Step 4: Tap the store’s Install or Get control and wait until the verified store finishes downloading and installing Substack.
- Step 5: Bring up Substack from the mobile device’s app list or home screen. The opening view should make sense before you create an account or alter the default setup.
- Step 6: Do not approve permissions in a batch. Check the reason for each request and postpone anything unrelated.
- Step 7: Get started with one option described in the store listing and follow the labels presented inside the app itself. Complete a small test before using essential files, payments, or private data.
- Step 8: Return to the same verified store for updates. Look over any new permission request before accepting it, especially after a major update.

I hope you can include notes with different colors of highlights.
clear report
I need an option to refuse emails when I subscribe. I only want information in this app. Emails are a waist of space and just get deleted.
very nice & interesting
can't verify phone number
I was impressed until I realized I had been excluded from text-to-speech wholesomeness. Now I'm fractured about it.
I really love this platform ❤️ it's like the equivalent of Pinterest for readers and writers. I have been writing there for a month. Although I found out the app only accepts Stripe accounts for payment (which I can't access from Algeria), I hope in the future alternative payment methods are added.
Since i downloaded the app i cant reply to posts or even create a post ....Whats going on????? Ive uninstalled...It kept on bringing one trouble or another...Life is hard enough as is.
